HIPAA-Protected Health Information

Once you become a client, your medical and treatment information is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and 42 CFR Part 2 (which provides additional protections for substance use disorder treatment records). We use, disclose, and safeguard your protected health information in accordance with our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to you at intake.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with: your insurance carrier (for verification and claims), partner detox facilities (when you authorize a Detox Concierge handoff), and as required by law. All sharing of protected health information requires your written authorization unless an exception applies under HIPAA or 42 CFR Part 2.

Your Rights
